Strat Guitar Body in Seafoam

Just because a body is three piece doesn’t mean it can not be interesting. The outside pieces of this strat style guitar body are walnut the middle piece is ash.  The wave pattern really adds to the ascetics. The center section was treated with a semi-transparent seafoam green.  The color was topped with a pearl flake.  A Cream band is applied to highlight the three areas. Finally the Nitrocellulose Lacquer was applied, wet sanded, and buffed.

A neck was finished to match.  The front of the headstock received the same treatment as the body.  The remainder of the neck received a thin coat of Nitrocellulose Lacquer to seal the wood and preserve the feel.

The result was an updated use of a classic color.  The pearl treatment over the green makes the color change slightly from ocean blue to seafoam green as the lighting changes.
