BLOOD AND WINE

  These Warmoth Bass bodies are twins of another color. “Blood” was the first to be built.  Then “Wine” followed.  

   Both bodies are Swamp Ash. “Blood” had the typical open grain of Swamp Ash but “Wine” was a very small grain.   

   “Blood” has black grain filler. A transparent blood red  tinted clear followed by a transparent black burst fading into a solid black on the edge. 

   “Wine” received a black grain filler followed by a coat of solid black finish. That was sanded back to get all the small grain highlighted. The purple tinted clear built from the center to the edge with a transparent black burst on the edge. 

   Both were finished in a gloss nitrocellulose. 

   The owner/builder made custom logos for the headstocks.
