Spalted Telecaster Style Body

This spalted telecaster style body has a wildly figured maple top.  The mahogany guitar back was a great choice.  The color tones made the perfect contrast to the guitar front spalted maple. The black banding is a simple separation between the two woods. 

Grain filling and stabilization of the spalted maple was needed to achieve a smooth finish. With all the beautiful natural color it only needed clear Nitrocellulose Lacquer to make it pop.  With wet sanding and buffing, it really came to life.
